I helped people declutter
and wound up with so many ideas,
I began writing a book called
You Don't Have to Throw it All Away.
I came to some realizations:

Writing a poem is like wrestling an alligator.

Writing an essay or a story is like wrestling
a congregation of alligators.

Writing a book is like being in a swamp
full of alligators, their eyes shining
on the edge of the water's surface,
their teeth in wait. You think you find
some solid ground, think you have
a rock to stand on to mull over
the ideas in your book.

And then you realize
that you are standing
on the back of an alligator.

My book is on hold.

I am writing short pieces and
making pictures.
